Thed Björk, 1st
“We had two great races before this with so much overtaking, clean fighting and pushing each other in a good way. For me this one was completely different. My start was good, Yann let me go on the outside and it was fine. The car felt great, and I could keep the pace all the time. I had so much pace over the weekend and that just continued to the very end today. Looking ahead, I’m really happy to be in the position to keep fighting for the championship.”
Yann Ehrlacher, 2nd
“It was a good race. We had a very good start but if I would put my nose inside, I could have compromised both of us. It was better for me to cover and close the door. I was quick at the beginning then had to push a bit to survive and I did 19 laps in a row with no mistakes. I can't complain. I feel very happy about the weekend. We need still to learn things to make progress for China because the season is not over yet. I think there is some stuff we can optimize in our package and in myself as well.”
Esteban Guerrieri, 3rd
“My strategy was first to try to get behind Thed and Yann, which I achieved so it was a good start, then I defended well. I never really had a chance to try anything, but I hoped Yann could make a mistake or have some tyre drop off. It felt like a game of chess. But they made no mistakes and drove very well. I’m a little frustrated, because with no Compensation Weight I hoped to be able to fight more but they nailed it. We have to try and keep digging…”
Diego Moran, 1st TCR Asia
“The last race was a bit more difficult, as I had an issue with the car. I felt a lot of noise and vibrations right from the start and by the end the car was moving all over the place. But it kept going and this weekend has been a great experience for me. I had the opportunity to fight and drive with the TCR World Tour drivers, and I cannot wait to do it again in 2 weeks.”
