Santiago Urrutia, 1st: “We expected to do good in this race, we knew we had a good car. The start was amazing, I think I won the race at the start and then I was controlling the pace. I ended up P1 which is very good, this is what we need to fight for the championship, so thanks to my team, they did a great job. I was saving my tyres for the end, but then Brickley had a problem and so I got the opportunity, this is racing, it’s sad it happened to him, but it’s happened to me many times, it is what it is.”
Aurélien Comte, 2nd: “My start was good, but it was difficult with my car, the balance was so difficult. I had no pace in the beginning of the race and Santi overtook me. I opened the door a little bit, and then the whole of the race was about taking the points and be in a good position for Race 3 with no risks.”
Norbert Michelisz, 3rd: “I’m happy to be on the podium after starting P6, but I was flat out the whole race and we didn’t have the pace to fight the cars up front, which is something unexpected. Before the weekend, we thought we had the car and the weight situation to fight more, but in the race yesterday and today I’ve done my best, but the pace hasn’t been good enough. With a good start in Race 3, the target has to be again to get on the podium and score some points.”
