Mikel Azcona, 1st: “I’m super-happy for the team. The key was the start, at this track where the grip is very low it’s tricky to have a good launch, but I managed a good start, and from this point I was comfortable, having your teammate behind it’s always a bit easier.
"I had to push, because Thed was also pushing Norbi and so I was trying to make some distance, and I felt more comfortable when I had a bit of a gap, and then I was being cautious to not hit the kerbs and look after the tyres I’m super-happy, pole position and a race win, good points for the championship, and all here in Korea for Hyundai’s home race."
Thed Björk, 2nd: “The Hyundais were fast, everyone got away similarly at the start and my plan was to drive as fast as possible. I wanted to overtake Norbi, but it wasn’t easy. I took my time, kept an eye on my tyres not to overstress them, and then later in the race I was able to push the speed a little bit and overtake Norbi, so I’m super-happy with second, this is Hyundai’s home track so congratulations to them (on the win), however the next event is in China so I hope it’s reversed then."
Norbert Michelisz, 3rd: “We knew before the weekend with the compensation weight it would not be easy, but qualifying went well, but the race I struggled in the second part, I just lost the front tyres as you would expect, nevertheless I did my best, so I tried to keep Thed behind but he was driving very well, so I think P3 was the maximum for me.
"From a personal point of view it was a very good day, but from a team point of view an even better day, because Mikel was on pole, he won the race, scored good points, so I think we can be proud."
