At Misano, on his first appearance in the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour, Ramiro Zago impressed for his maturity, staying away from troubles and finishing both races in the points.
The 21-year-old Argentine, a rookie in TCR competition, drove his MM Motorsport Honda Civic FL5 to 12th in Race 1 and tenth in Race 2, ending the weekend with his car still unscathed after fighting with more experienced drivers such as Jean-Karl Vernay and Viktor Andersson.
“I’m very happy, it’s my first time in the TCR World Tour and only two weeks after my TCR Italy debut. I feel very good with the car, I enjoyed and grew up during the weekend. I finished top twelve in Race 1 and top ten in Race 2, which I think it was good. I want to thank the team MM Motorsport and everyone who made this possible. Considering this are my first experiences in touring cars, as I’m used to single-seaters. I’m happy with how I have improved during the weekend. It has been a good first step,” said the Argentine youngster.
