The Kumho FIA TCR World Tour resumes this weekend in South Korea, where the Inje Speedium hosts the global series for the second consecutive year.
The Korean event also features the three-race format that had already been adopted in Valencia and that will be used in the next two race meetings in China.
As far as the drivers' championship is concerned, Geely Cyan Racing's Santiago Urrutia continues to lead the standings, having capitalised on his hat-trick of race wins in Spain.
However, a string of positive results in the two most recent events from the BRC Hyundai team has helped Mikel Azcona to reduce the gap to Urrutia to just ten points.
His teammate Norbert Michelisz has moved up to third, 32 points behind Urrutia and twelve ahead of Geely's reigning champion Yann Ehrlacher, while Aurélien Comte and his SP Compétition CUPRA Leon VZ are in fifth position.
Azcona and Michelisz are eager to continue this form now that the series resumes on Hyundai's home circuit.
The event marks the return of Jean-Karl Vernay who has recovered from a foot injury and will be back at the wheel of a SP Compétition CUPRA alongside Comte and Viktor Andersson.
