One month after racing in Australia at The Bend, the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour resumes this weekend at the Inje Speedium in South Korea.
An event that marks the first time ever an international touring car competition is held in the country.
This is also the first time TCR Asia competitors join the World Tour; their participation added to that of a small group of local drivers, contributes to a strong grid of 22 cars.
Lynk & Co Cyan Racing's Yann Ehrlacher defends his leadership in the standings; the young Frenchman has built a 36-point advantage over Esteban Guerrieri's and his GOAT Racing-run Honda Civic FL5. The Argentine is followed by a pair of other Lynk & Co drivers: Thed Björk and Santiago Urrutia who have gaps of 53 and 71 points respectively.
BRC Hyundai racers Norbert Michelisz and Néstor Girolami, who shared race wins in Australia, moved up to fifth and sixth, 98 and 113 points behind the leader, while Guerrieri's teammate Ignacio Montenegro is only one further point adrift.
Aurélien Comte with the SP Compétition CUPRA Leon VZ is currently ninth, behind Cyan Racing's Ma Qing Hua.
In the Team's championship, Lynk & Co Cyan Racing leads BRC by 168 points.
Taipei's Sean Chang Chien Shang defends his leadership in TCR Asia at the wheel of his RevX Racing Audi RS 3 LMS, while Indonesian driver Benny Santoso (Z.Speed N, Hyundai Elantra N) and Diego Moran from Ecuador (DM23 Ecuador Racing, Honda Civic FL5) are placed in second and third positions.
The event features the three-race format with the top ten reversed grid for Race 2 based on Race 1 results, while the grid for Race 3 is determined by the sum of points scored in the qualifying and the first pair of races.
