Viktor Andersson will be back in the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour at Inje Speedium, after re-signing with SP Compétition for another weekend in an expanded three-car line-up.
After competing in the first two events of the season at Misano and Valencia with Monlau Motorsport, the Swedish driver then got a call-up from SP Compétition to deputise for the injured Jean-Karl Vernay at Vila Real. Andersson would then score his first career podium in the championship with third, though after handing his full season teammate Aurélien Comte second position right before the finish line.
While he’ll be busy this weekend fighting to take the lead of the TCR Europe championship at Monza, he’ll then head straight to South Korea to join Comte and the returning Vernay in a third CUPRA Leon VZ.
“It’ll be exciting to be part of,” said Andersson. “The track looks really cool. We have a super-strong line-up, and I think we’ll have the possibility to fight with Geely and Hyundai. My target work together with the team to get strong results.”
