Viktor Andersson was quickest of all in his guest-entry Monlau Motorsport CUPRA, leading another Leon VZ, that of Aurélien Comte run by SP Compétition, with the ALM Motorsport Honda Civic of Jenson Brickley making a late improvement to go third fastest.
Andersson led the way through much of the running and was into the 1:19s right from the start of the session, with his best time of 1:19.170 keeping him at the top of the timesheets at the end.
Comte was Andersson’s closest challenger in practice, just three-tenths of a second down, while Brickley’s best time of 1:19.693, set right at the end of the 30-minute session, put him third, just ahead of his teammate Jimmy Clairet.
Yann Ehrlacher was the fastest of the Geely Cyan Racing contingent, ending the session fifth quickest in the new Preface, with Mikel Azcona sixth in his Hyundai Elantra N EV.
Andersson was also the fastest of TCR Spain competitors with his fastest overall time.
The next session is Free Practice 2, which is scheduled for 17:00 CEST.
